NABP begins a proof of concept for a DSCSA interoperability network leveraging InfoNetworks' platform.

Further to its earlier industry table-top pilot, the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy recently began a two month proof of concept that is utilizing InfoNetworks’ platform for trusted ecosystems to help it explore desired features and functionality for an interoperable network for regulator product trace and verification requests with trading partners as required by the Drug Supply Chain Security Act. The proof of concept focuses on demonstrating the ability to develop and utilize a directory for verifying trading partners and for regulators to exchange product trace requests and product verifications, establishing an approach for state regulators to demonstrate their authenticity, exploring requirements for demonstrating ATP status that can be used throughout the supply chain, and understanding impacts for pharmacy workflows for each use of these situations.
