InfoNetworks chairs panel on the adoption and implementation of trust registries at the 12th Registration Operations Workshop

ROW is an informal industry conference involving parties interested in the technical operations of the domain name system (DNS). Joining InfoNetworks on this panel were representatives from CIRA, the manager of the .CA Country Code Top-Level Domain (ccTLD), and Fraunhofer IAO who discussed how the DNS can help facilitate the adoption and implementation of trust registries. CIRA’s Chief Technical Officer discussed how verified credentials might be integrated into the .CA domain name registration process, as well as their work in the IETF DANCE working group. Fraunhofer provided a historical analysis of their work with LIGHTest and how that has evolved into TRAIN. The objective of this panel was to showcase business opportunities for domain name registration authorities in an evolving Know-Your-Custom (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB) and Know Your Machine (KYB) marketplace.
